It has been said that what you eat for breakfast will make or break the rest of your day and I believe it! Think back to when you last ate a donut for breakfast, it doesn't feel great, then the carb spiraling happens... I have found, through experience, that if I get around 30g of protein for breakfast, the rest of my meals tend to be a little healthier.

I work from home but to me it is no different then working from an office, I am glued to my computer for 8-10 hours, I don't have time to make a big breakfast. Usually, I am eating in between meetings, which means it needs to be quick prep/grab and go - I also love it to be protein-packed!

Here are the breakfasts that are staples for me while trying to lose body fat and gain muscle.

Protein-Packed Breakfast Ideas

Fairlife Milk

Fairlife milk

13g of Protein!

When I found Fairlife milk, it was a GAME CHANGER! Half the amount of sugar and almost double the protein of any other milk! I get 13g of protein just in my cappuccino alone! Also, I like that it is lactose free, I'm not horribly lactose intolerant but I find if I consume too much, it does affect my stomach.

Fairlife Core Power Protein Shake

Fairlife Core Power Shake

170 Calories, 26g of Protein! These shakes come in handy for those crazy mornings when I have back-to-back meetings and don't want to eat on camera, I especially love the vanilla mixed protein shake with coffee and ice for a protein packed, iced coffee.

Good Culture Cottage Cheese

Good Culture Cottage Cheese with Berries

80 calories and 14g of protein!

Good Culture cottage cheese and fresh berries is my go-to, easy, low cals and delicious! I swear by this brand, less watery, better taste and has probiotics. I'll take the extra shot of health where I can get it.

Hard-boiled Eggs

Hard boiled eggs

Meal-prepped for ease, take of the fridge, cut in half, S&P and good to go! I even like to put a little Dijon mustard on mine. Eat 3 eggs for 210 calories and 18g protein.

Smoked Wild-Caught Salmon

This whole package has 140 calories and 21g of protein! That ratio is insane! I usually put this on a Mission Carb Balance tortilla with goat cheese, red onion, and capers - a delicious low calorie, high-fiber wrap!

Pro-tip: go with wild caught and read the ingredients to make sure dye isn't added!

Did you know farm-raised salmon is not salmon colored, its gray, and they dye it, gross!!!

Oikos Greek Yogurt

This brand makes 2 options of high-protein Greek Yogurt, Triple Zero and Pro.

Oikos Triple Zero Yogurt

Triple Zero has 90 calories and 15g of protein.

Oikos Pro Yogurt

140 calories and 20g protein! Sometimes I'll also add 1 TBSP of Grape Nuts for a little texture.

Starting your day with a protein-packed breakfast doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. Whether it’s a quick shake, some cottage cheese with berries, or a smoked salmon wrap, these ideas make it easy to fuel up and feel good. Find what works for you, mix things up when you need to, and watch how your mornings (and your whole day) improve.

So, what’s going to kick-start your day tomorrow?
